How do I get paid? Cha-ching! As a seller on TRADEMOMS you must have a Business account at PayPal. This is required in order to process credit card payments from non-PayPal users. If you don’t have a business account, don’t panic, you can always upgrade your existing account account and best of all it is is quick and free of charge. There are no additional costs involved. To upgrade to a PayPal business account, go to http://www.paypal.com/upgrade. If you are an individual, just enter your own name when PayPal asks for a “business name”.

How much commission does TRADEMOMS take? 15% of your sell price. Remember, ALL trades are free.

What forms of payment are accepted?   We don’t discriminate. We take Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express, as well as Paypal.

I work full time and I don’t have time to trade. How do I use the Trademoms.com? Easy breezy.   If you work full-time and don’t have to time to engage in a trade, you can hire a mom using a traditional payment method. Look for posts that are designated with an hourly rate.

How do I know what a fair trade value is? The beauty of a marketplace is that supply and demand will help guide what a fair value is. Ask yourself if you feel that one hour of your time is equal to one hour of the other person’s time? In other words, is your hourly rate more, less or equal to the hourly rate of the mom you want to trade with.

Do I get multiple storefronts and multiple listings? No and yes. You are the queen of your castle as well as your store front, but you only get one profile storefront. Add a profile pic and share pertinent information about yourself that will help connect you to the moms you want to work with. Then, you can post multiple listings.

Should I include a link to my LinkedIn profile? Heck yeah! Sharing your LinkedIn profile speaks to your credibility which can result in more connections and ultimately more transactions.

What if the person I want to trade with is not interested in trading for my skills/services? Bummer, but don’t fret. Try messaging the mom you whose product or service you are interested in and open a line of communication. You may be pleasantly surprised that there are things you could offer that you hadn’t thought about.   Alternatively, you can always hire the mom as opposed to trading.

How can I validate that the person I am trading with is reputable? You know what they say about Karma, right? At TRADEMOMS, we live by that phrase our moms engrained in us: “treat others as we want to be treated”.  As you work with the moms in this community, write a review to share your experience.  These reviews will help guide moms as they look for who they would like to work with.
